I love that radiant orchid is making a splash this year! And that it is inspiring new and bold shades of purple. As the time-honored color of royalty, shades of purple can add a luxe and classic touch to modern designs.

Interior design has always inspired my color palette for events. In these chic rooms, shades of radiant orchid make a statement and add a level of comfort to the room. My advice is to pair shades of radiant orchid with metallics, neutrals, and black and white.

For my dear friends Katie and Barry, we selected a palette of orchid, silver, grey, and white for their wedding. We chose a purple that wasn’t as bright as radiant orchid, but the color is in the same tone and has the same effect: a pop of color that is bold yet simple and sophisticated.

If you’re unsure about radiant orchid for your event, I encourage you to play around with different shades of purple and to look to interior design and other events for inspiration. The color of the year definitely sparks creativity and possibilities for me, and I love helping clients and friends find that perfect shade to uniquely express themselves.
